Local Assistance
Professional Economic Development Services: The RCCDC is staffed by a Certified Economic developer and offers professional demographic data and analysis, site selection services including but not limited to site discovery, site comparison, competition analysis and traffic analysis, economic impact studies and other associated services. We maintain an inventory of some of the most desirable commercial and industrial property in Portales and Roosevelt County.
Businesses creating new jobs in the City of Portales may be eligible for grant assistance through the Local Economic development Act (LEDA) program. This program offers financial assistance to stable and growing businesses based on the new revenue and jobs created by that business. Application materials are available below.

State Assistance
The State of New Mexico is well-known for providing generous incentives for expanding business. An overview of these incentives is provided below, and at the New Mexico Economic Development Department website (click here).
Federal Assistance
The most commonly utilized federal assistance program in the region is through the US Department of Agriculture Rural Development Program (click here).
Additional assistance as a result of the 2009 federal stimulus bill includes tax breaks for alternative energy manufacturing and other operations that fit well within the business opportunity portfolio of Roosevelt County.
